AWS Code of Conduct
Last Updated: June 4, 2026
Importance
We firmly believe in the value and importance of an environment where all AWS community members feel welcome and safe. This Code of Conduct explains the behavior we expect from AWS community members interacting at AWS events and programs, and across AWS blogs, online forums, and social media platforms (collectively, AWS Programs). The purpose of AWS Programs is to foster technical and professional education and encourage community discussion.
Behavior
1. You will behave in a way that facilitates a safe and supportive environment for all AWS Program participants.
2. You will not engage in disruptive speech or behavior or otherwise interfere with other individuals’ participation in AWS Program.
3. You will not interfere with the operation of AWS Programs.
4. You will provide accurate and truthful information during registration, check-in, or login for any AWS Program.
5. You will only use the AWS Program credentials (e.g., event badges, login information to programs or communities) that are provided to you. You will not transfer, lend, or share your AWS Program credentials with anyone.
6. You will not attempt to receive benefits that you are not entitled to in relation to any AWS Program.
7. You will not engage in any form of harassing, offensive, discriminatory, or threatening speech or behavior, including but not limited to relating to race, gender, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or other protected category.
8. Unless you are a registered AWS Event Sponsor, you will not use any AWS Program to market, promote, advertise, solicit, or distribute materials regarding your own products, services, or offerings, or those of any third party, without AWS's prior written consent.
9. You will comply with the instructions of AWS Program staff, including event and program staff and AWS blog, online forum, and social media platform moderators.
10. You will comply with all applicable laws and any AWS Program specific requirements (including all health and safety requirements).
Scope
We expect all AWS community members (including but not limited to attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, moderators, and AWS employees) to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers the main AWS Program and all related AWS Programs (e.g., main events along with all related events or activities, social or otherwise). AWS employees must continue to abide by all company policies at all times.
Consequences
If we believe you breached this Code of Conduct, we may do
any of the following:
- Require you to leave or stop participating in an AWS Program that you are currently participating in;
- Prohibit you from attending or participating in future AWS Programs; or
- Remove any content you submitted, posted, or otherwise made available within an AWS Program in violation of this Code of Conduct.
If we require you to leave an AWS event, you will not be eligible to receive a refund of any fees paid to us related to the event. All determinations are at our sole discretion. We will involve law enforcement if we deem appropriate.
